There are a few ways to get from the airport to BYU in Provo. Listed are a few cost and travel time estimates:

  • TRAX Green Line, FrontRunner, & UVX
  • One-way: $6.10 | 117 min
  • Roundtrip: $5.00
  • Lyft: $60 - 70 | 50 min
  • Uber: $62 - 72 | 50 min
  • Taxi: $114 | 50 min

Directions from SLC to Provo

  1. Starting from the airport Trax station, take the green line towards North Temple Bridge. (See UTA Trax for schedule and fares)
  2. Get off the Green Trax line at North Temple Bridge and take the stairs or escalator from the overpass down to the FrontRunner station below.
  3. Take the FrontRunner going south towards Provo Central. (See UTA Frontrunner for schedule and fares)
  4. Get off the FrontRunner at the Provo Central station. (This is the last stop going south) Just south of the FrontRunner platform you can catch the UVX bus line to get to campus. (See UTA UVX for schedule and fares)
  5. Take the UVX bus line going towards Orem. We recommend getting off at the BYU South Campus stop, but there is a fairly large hill from this stop to the science center. If you may have trouble climing this incline, please see our Joaquin stop guide for an alternate route.
  6. Get off UVX at the BYU South Campus stop, walking west up the hill towards the Eyring Science Center:
